Bill Withers

William Harrison Withers, Jr., better known as Bill Withers is an American soul, R&B, blues and pop singer-songwriter born on July 4, 1938 in Slab Fork, West Virginia, the United States. He began his professional music career in 1971 releasing debut album Just As I Am. His next album Still Bill earned him success becoming Gold and reaching number 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums. Withers signed a deal with Columbia Records in 1975 and continued on releasing the albums. In total, he released 8 studio albums, the last one Watching You, Watching me came out in 1985. Withers has one hit single number one – Lean on me. Some other his popular songs include Use Me, Lovely Day, Ain’t No Sunshine and Grandma’s Hands.
