Big Shug

Big Shug is an American hip hop artist who comes from Boston, Massachusetts. Since his childhood, he has been involved in street life and culture and was a friend of the future Gang Starr MC Guru. Big Shug was imprisoned and was cut from the activity of his friend who moved to New York and formed the Gang Starr. The collective also included DJ Premier. Upon his release, Big Shug moved to New York and joined Gang Starr, contributing to their albums. He also appeared on the albums of other hip-hop acts like The Militia, Rollin’ Dolo, Legbreakers, Punch Out! and many more. At the same time, he began his solo career. The debut album Who’s Hard was released in 2005. The follow-up Streetchamp came out in 2007.
