Ben Lee

ARIA Award winning indie pop musician and actor Ben Lee (birth name Benjamin Michael Lee) was born on 11 September 1978, Sydney, Australia. He quickly gained popularity in 1993 as a member of the band Noise Addict. In 1994, Noise Addict was signed to independent label Fellaheen Records. At the age of 16, he decided to start his solo musical career. During this time, he was still with Noise Addict. He recorded his debut solo album, Grandpaw Would, with famous producer Brad Wood. He achieved mainstream success as a solo singer with his most successful album, Ripe (2007), which yielded the number one hit "Love Me Like the World Is Ending". This album also featured guest appearances such as Mandy Moore, Benji Madden, Benmont Tench, Rachael Yamagata, Rooney, Sara Watkins, and Charlotte Martin.
