Belle Epoque

Belle Epoque was a French pop and disco vocal trio, from Paris, France. The trio was formed in 1977 and disbanded in 1979. The group composed of the lead singer Evelyne Lenton and two backup vocalists Jusy Fortes (known also as Judy Lisboa) and Marcia Briscoe (also known as Marcia Briscue). That was an original line-up but backup vocalist kept changing according to Evelyne Lenton. The group reached the popularity in Europe with their breakthrough hit single "Black Is Black". The song is a cover for an original hit by Spanish group Los Bravos. The song reached number 2 on the UK Singles chart and it was a top 10 hit in many European countries.
