German folk, soul and reggae singer and songwriter Ayọ (birth name Joy Olasunmibo Ogunmakin) was born on 14 September 1980, in Frechen near Cologne, Germany. As a child, she began playing the violin and piano and later she taught herself to play the guitar. She was very interested in music. She was heavily influenced by Pink Floyd, Fela Kuti, Donny Hathaway, Jimmy Cliff and Bob Marley. She rose to fame in 2006 with her debut album, Joyful, which has been certified double platinum in France and Poland. It also received gold certification in Switzerland, Italy, and Greece. This album produced four singles such as "Down on My Knees", "And It's Supposed to Be Love", "Life Is Real" and "Help Is Coming". And now, you may download this album by Ayo in mp3 from our site. In 2008, she released her second album, Gravity at Last, which was a huge success in France.
