Au Revoir Simone

American electronic, indie pop, synthpop, piano pop and dream pop band Au Revoir Simone from Brooklyn, New York, was formed in 2003. The band's current line-up comprises three members: Erika Forster, Annie Hart and Heather D'Angelo. Their music style is often considered as melody-laden loveliness. They usually state that they are heavily influenced by Modest Mouse, Stereolab, the Beach Boys, Björk, Broadcast, Belle & Sebastian, David Bowie, the Bee Gees and Billie Holiday among others. They emerged on the American indie pop music scene in 2005 with their breakthrough debut album, Verses of Comfort, Assurance & Salvation, which contained their first biggest hits such as "Through the Backyards", "Hurricanes", "The Disco Song" and "Where You Go".
