At the Drive-In was an American post-hardcore band formed in El Paso, Texas in 1993. The band was founded by guitarist Jim Ward and vocalist Cedric Bixler-Zavala. The band disbanded in 2001 and the final line-up composed of Cedric Bixler-Zavala – lead vocals, occasional guitar[17], melodica (current The Mars Volta member), Jim Ward – guitar, keyboards, backing vocals (current Sleepecar member), Omar Rodríguez-López (current the Mars Volta member), Paul Hinojos – bass (currently Dios Kilos member) and Tony Hajjar – drums, percussion (currently in The Strange Atomics). Many critics praised the band even after their disbanding calling them “the next Nirvana”. According to some critics “Relationship in Command” is one of the best albums in 21st century.
