Asia are an English rock band formed in 1981. The band is considered a supergroup as it included members from such progressive rock bands like Yes, King Crimson, Uriah Heep, Roxy Music, Wishbone Ash and some others. Currently there are two bands using Asia name – an original Asia line-up and Asia featuring John Payne. The original Asia line-up composes of Geoff Downes (keyboards and backing vocals), John Wetton (lead vocals, bass and guitar), Steve Howe (guitar, mandolin, backing vocals) and Carl Palmer (drums and percussion). The band has released 11 studio albums, and more than 30 singles. The best selling band’s album is their debut self-titled record released in 1982.
