Ashlee Simpson

American pop rock, alternative rock, pop punk and grunge music singer, songwriter and actress Ashlee Simpson (also well known as Ashlee Simpson-Wentz) was born on October 3, 1984, in Waco, Texas, U.S. She is the younger sister of pop and country pop music artist Jessica Simpson. In the beginning, she was one of her sister's backup dancers. Later, she started appearing in various television series and films including Malcolm in the Middle, The Hot Chick and 7th Heaven among others. She achieved mainstream success as a singer in 2004 with her breakthrough debut album, Autobiography, which reached number one in the US. It also has been certified platinum three times in the US and two times in Canada. The album's singles were: "Pieces of Me", "Shadow" and "La La".
