Aquabats

American rock, pop punk and new wave band The Aquabats founded in 1994 in Orange County, California. The band comprises The MC Bat Commander (birth name Christian Jacobs; vocals), Crash McLarson (birth name Chad Larson; bass, backing vocals), Jimmy the Robot (birth name James Briggs; keyboards, saxophone, other brass and wind instruments, backing vocals), Ricky Fitness (birth name Ricky Falomir; drums, percussion, backing vocals) and Eagle "Bones" Falconhawk (birth name Ian Fowles; guitar, backing vocals). The band's current style is considered as a combination of rock and roll, pop-punk, ska and synthpop sounds. They achieved success in 1997 with their album, The Fury of the Aquabats!, which reached number 172 on the Billboard 200 and yielded the singles, "Red Sweater!", "Magic Chicken!", "Fight Song!", "Cat with 2 Heads!", "Story of Nothing!" and "Captain Hampton and the Midget Pirates!".
