Anup Jalota

Anup Jalota is an Indian musician born on July 29, 1953 in Nainital, India. He is primary known as the performer of such Indian music like the bhajan and of Urdu poetry called ghazal. He is known under the nick name Bhajan Samraat (Emperor of Bhajans). Jalota has been interested in music and traditional Indian way of performance since his childhood as his father was a prominent exponent of bhajan. Little Anup showed an outstanding talent and this allowed him to start his career at All India Radio as a chorus singer. As for today, he has released numerous albums and has performed many live concerts. Some of his most popular Bhajans and ghazals are Aisi Lagi Lagan, Main Nazar Se Pee Raha Hoon, Rukh Se Parda Hata De, Tum Kya Samjho Tum Kya Jano and many others.
