Anthony and the Johnsons is a music group that represents the work of Anthony Hegarty. The band was founded in 1998 when David Tibet, British experimental musician decided to release Anthony’ music. The current members of the band are Antony Hegarty (vocals, piano), Julia Kent (cello), Parker Kindred (drums), Jeff Langston (bass), Rob Moose (guitar, violin), Maxim Moston (violin, arrangement) and Doug Wieselman (horns). The debut album Anthony and the Johnsons was released in 1998. The album reached number 118 on the UK Albums chart. The second album I Am A Bird Now was released in 2005. This time the album was more successful and received Gold certificate in the UK and in Sweden. After that, the band released two more albums – The Crying Light and Swanlights.
