Andrea Bocelli

Andrea Bocelli is a famous Italian tenor and crossover classic vocalist, he is also songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Bocelli was born on September 22, 1958 in Lajatico, Tuscany, Italy. He was born with weak eyes and when he was 12 he lost his eyesight. He is the biggest-selling solo artist in the history of classical music. His star appeared on the stage in 1994 when he won the San Remo music festival. His debut album was released afterwards and within several weeks it reached Platinum status. During the mid-1990s he conquered Europe singing with Sarah Brightman. They sang in English “Time to Say Goodbye”. The single topped German charts. His fame spread around the globe and he toured in North and South America. In 2009 he released his first Christmas album – “My Christmas”.
