Amoeba

Amoeba is an American experimental music group formed in California, the United States in 1992. The main band members are Robert Rich – ambient musician and Rick Davies – guitarist/bassist. Though the project was founded in 1992 Rich and Davies began working together in 1979. The band’s style can be classified as the fusion of pop and ambient music. Together they released threes studio albums – Eye Catching (1992), Watchful (1997) and the last one Pivot (2000). After the release of their last studio work, the band split as Davies decided to pursue a solo career and went to Tuscon, Arizona. Rich continues to release ambient music and is considered to be a prolific author. The two hold Amoeba as a possible project to continue their collaboration but still this hasn’t happened.
