Amerie Mi Marie Rogers better known as Amerie is an American singer, actress, songwriter and producer. She was born on January 12, 1978 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, the United States. She was born to Korean mother and African-American father. As her dad was a chief warrant officer she traveled a lot with her family and lived in South Korea, Alaska, Virginia, Texas and Germany. The family is a conservative Christian one, Amerie’s native language is Korean. She began her serious music career in 2001 and already in 2002 she released her debut album All I Have. But the most popular album is her next one, titled Touch. The album spawned the hit number one “1 Touch” which reached the top spot on the Hot R&B/Hip-hop songs and became widely known abroad.
