Spanish latin pop and ballad musician and singer-songwriter Alejandro Sanz (birth name Alejandro Sánchez Pizarro) was born on December 18, 1968, in Madrid, Spain. He rose to fame in the early 1990s with his debut album, Viviendo Deprisa, which has been certified Platinum eight times in Spain. It also produced the singles, "Se Le Apago La Luz" and "Lo Que Fui Es Lo Que Soy". He achieved international success in 2006 with his latest album, El Tren de los Momentos, which received gold certification in US and won the Best Latin Pop Album at the 50th Grammy Awards. This album also yielded the hit singles including "A la primera persona", "Te lo agradezco, pero no", "Enséñame Tus Manos" and "En la planta de tus pies".
